Welcome to
Serve Our Stockton Day
On July 30, 2011, Serve Our Stockton (SOS) Day will once again radically change our community! We plan to serve our neighbors, our city, our local non-profits, our communities’ most neglected and forgotten ones, and wherever else we get the opportunity to serve. Simply put, SOS Day is about the churches of Stockton coming together on ONE day to continue to make an impact for our Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 5:16 says, “Let our good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father.” Questions? Email: serveourstockton@yahoo.com.
SOS Day :: Its Challenge for 2011
We want to issue the challenge to the Church of Stockton to join us and invite “unchurched” friends to work along side of you and other followers of Jesus. Who knows what work God will do when Christians get a chance to model the love of Jesus to those who may not have a personal relationship with Him. We pray that by stepping up to this “challenge”, the Christian community will increase our volunteer force from just over the 1,500 workers in 2010 to over 2,000 in 2011! Imagine the impact that could be made in the name of our Lord!
SOS :: Additional Events
Please join us for the following events:
SOS Spirit Festival :: On Saturday, August 6,
2011, we will again set our sails at the Weber Point Event Center.
The church of Stockton, it's ministries, organizations and some of the
area's greatest entertainers are uniting to throw an unparalleled
completely free event called the SOS
Spirit Festival. This great event is from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Spirit Festival celebrates the spirit of this great city and its
residents and shows the rest of the nation that Stockton is definitely
not the most miserable place to live. For more information, check
out the website: http://sosspiritfestival.org/
SOS Ports Night :: August 7, 2011, 6:05 PM,
Stockton Ports vs. Rancho Cucamonga Quakes! For every volunteer
who signs up and helps on SOS Day, they will receive a free voucher from
the Stockton Ports (to be distributed by the Project Leaders) to attend
the Sunday, August 7th Ports game against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes!
So, get your un-churched friends to sign-up for a SOS project, serve and
then have some fun!
