On August 7, 2010, Serve Our Stockton (SOS) Day will once again radically change our community!  We plan to serve our neighbors, our city, our local non-profits, our communities’ most neglected and forgotten ones, and wherever else we get the opportunity to serve.  Simply put, SOS Day is about the Church of Stockton coming together on ONE day to continue to make an impact for our Lord Jesus Christ.  Matthew 5:16 says, “Let our good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father.”  Questions?  Email:  serveourstockton@yahoo.com.

SOS Day :: Its Challenge for 2010

2,010 servants in 2010!!  This year, we lift up the challenge to all our Christian volunteers to invite “unchurched” family and friends to work alongside of you and other followers of Jesus.  Who knows what work God will do when Christians get a chance to model the love of Jesus to those who may not have a personal relationship with Him.  We pray that by stepping up to this “challenge”, the Christian community will increase our volunteer force from just over the 1,000 workers in 2009 to over 2,010 in 2010!  To help you meet this “challenge”, the Stockton Ports have agreed to “Serve Our Stockton” by giving a complimentary game voucher for their Sunday’s August 8th game to anyone who volunteers and works on SOS Day!  So encourage your church to volunteer for that special project and invite that special someone who may not know the gift of eternal life!
