Inspirational story of help...
The local Salvation Army made me aware of their drastic cutbacks in clerical help at their office, and the filing that had piled up. They were also in need for painting their “thrift store”.
Within 2 days of meeting with them about their projects God provided in a huge way!
A local painting contractor offered to donate the services of 2 employees and all equipment to do the painting needed. They just needed a few helper/volunteers to assist. A call was then made to a paint supplier by the contractor…..who will donate the paint needed for the project! I won’t have to much at all as project leader……because God handled it for me!
In addition, we needed about 10 clerical people to sort files for retention, shredding, and discarding. They specifically asked for a shredding company because they would have a large purge. That day a local shredding company committed to putting a shredding truck and man for the day to take care of the Salvation Army shredding needs for free! A few days later, when the call went out to the church congregation, more volunteers signed up than were needed! We were able to use the extra people to expand the scope of work because the Salvation Army was too shy to ask for more when they really needed it. Does God know our needs even though we don’t express them or what?
I hope this brings encouragement to others out there! Step out
in faith!! Watch how God leads!
